Olivia Joy Kimble is the owner and primary provider at Rochester Community Midwives. Her style of care spans holistic and allopathic approaches to preventing and addressing health concerns during pregnancy and the perinatal period.

Olivia has earned a Master of Science degree after three years of focused study in community-based midwifery from Bastyr University, a program known to be the nation’s leader in rigorous midwifery education.  Olivia wrote her Master’s Thesis “Pelvic Health Evaluation in Pregnancy” and has presented nationally as an expert in midwifery-led pelvic health prevention and assessment.

Olivia is NARM-certified and state licensed—qualifications that identify her as a specialist in physiological birth in a community setting.  She also maintains current certifications in child and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as neonatal-specific resuscitation training through the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association.

Outside of midwifery, her family has an organic-vegetable farm, Pine Island Free Farm.

I am a witness and protector of the sacred and secret magic of birth.

“Olivia has an inspirational spirit!”

— KAJA P.

We spent our first couple months of pregnancy in and out of hospitals, trying to figure out what the best option for childbirth was. After meeting with Olivia and the midwives she worked with, we could not have asked for a better option.

“Having Olivia as my midwife made me feel like I had a teammate and a best friend during my prenatal care. She was so patient, encouraging, and informative; this wasn’t even my first baby yet I learned a lot from her.”

“We enjoyed every single visit we had with Olivia; so much that I asked her to assist me with the local high school soccer team I coached. The only regret we have is that Olivia is no longer in the Pacific Northwest to help be a part of our second child's birth.”

— Andrew C. (Leo’s father)
